  • Highway A1
  • Exit “Bern-Wankdorf” A6
  • General direction “Zentrum,” passing by the “Stadion Wankdorf” (formerly “Stade de Suisse”).
  • After 500 meters / 0.3 miles at “Guisanplatz” (traffic light), merge right and turn right.
  • After about 50 meters / 164 feet , turn left onto “Militärstrasse”, continue 500 meters / 0.3 miles to Hotel Jardin Bern.

Directions: Public Transport before November 30, 2025

From February to November 2025, the Kornhausbrücke bridge will undergo renovations. During this time, public transport will be rerouted. Access to Hotel Jardin Bern from the train station will remain smooth:

 

From Bern Main Station to Hotel Jardin Bern

  • Take the train to “Bern Bahnhof” (main train station)
  • Board the replacement bus line 9A – next to the station
  • Transfer at “Viktoriaplatz” to tram no. 9 towards “Wankdorf Bahnhof”
  • Get off at “Breitenrain” stop
  • Walk straight along “Herzogstrasse” towards Kaserne Bern
  • Turn left into “Militärstrasse” to reach Hotel Jardin Bern

 

From Wankdorf Station to Hotel Jardin Bern

  • Take the train to “Bern Wankdorf” station
  • Take tram no. 9 - direction “Kursaal”
  • Get off at “Breitenrain” stop
  • Walk straight along “Herzogstrasse” towards Kaserne Bern
  • Turn left into “Militärstrasse” to reach Hotel Jardin Bern

From December 1, 2025, the regular streetcar 9 route via the then completely renovated Kornhausbrücke bridge will apply again.

Alternatively, your booking confirmation serves as a valid ticket from Bern Main Station to us (Breitenrain stop) via tram no. 9.

Parking

A limited number of free parking spaces are available directly next to the hotel. These spaces cannot be reserved. If no spaces are available, you can obtain a parking permit for the white zone at the reception (CHF 16.00 per day). Additionally, there is an on-site charging station as well as two public charging spots for electric vehicles.

 

Bicycles

Guests can request our Jardin bikes to conveniently explore Bern (subject to availability). Alternatively, the nearest PubliBike station, where you can rent e-bikes, is 50m away. Bern is a bicycle-friendly city with extensive infrastructure and amenities for cyclists. If you are traveling with a bicycle, you can safely store it in one of our garages.
